everyone keeps screaming about
BROOKLYN!...
and i understand why... just one stop on the L from manhattan puts you in williamsburg which has an entirely different feeling... more, uh, like home. then there's park slope, cobble hill, and other neighborhoods that feel entirely new york but still definitely not manhattan... a friend recently visited from s.f. and i took her to brooklyn (where she had never been on her many trips to nyc) and she loved it. i can't quite describe why, but it has a very nostalgic feeling... if it were still a separate city, it would be the fourth largest in the u.s., so i obviously can't bring you a balanced view of the place, but for the month of may here are a few snaps that take a peek at my journeys to this wonderful borough....
