little italy?...

it used to be, and i guess to the north of canal it is partly, but these days mott street is more chinatown than little italy. however, for the last 11 days in may, the st. anthony festival takes over one long block on mott... the festival is a long standing tradition with zepole, calzone, italian ice, and good ol' fashioned carnival games (you know, like throw the ping pong ball into the bowl and win a fish type games)... around the corner on mulberry you can find all the italian restaurants and since "summer" is now here, you can sit outside and enjoy...
