i'm back!...

but things are going to be a little different for awhile... 'cause i'm not in san francisco... i'm in new york city! those of you who have been following this site over the past 2 years know how much i love san francisco... but for the next 10 months i'll be working on photography projects here in the REALLY big city. i've barely landed, so this week you get snaps from the road trip across... we took the southern route: home in s.f., san luis obispo, vegas, hoover dam, grand canyon, roswell, austin, new orleans, orlando, washington d.c.... manhattan. all the s.f. stuff is still on this site, and there'll be more in the future, but stay tuned for a weekly dose of new york... every friday, just like always...

(i apologize to those of you who sent mail while i was on the road... i tried to respond, but mail piled up and some got lost... i always appreciate comments, questions, whatever. if i didn't get back to you, i'm sorry, i promise i'm somewhat settled for now...)

we found an amazing abandoned shop
with tons of old cars out back...

not everyone is as fond of diner food as i am...

we looked for UFOs or alien friends in roswell, new mexico...
didn't find any but the museum is pretty cool...

our pals in austin made us a fabulous dinner...

once we splurged for a motel...
more often we slept in the van...

what's a road trip without a little bob's big boy?...
actually... little bob was the only cool thing left about this place...

if you know new york, and you're familiar with me and this site... please send me your ideas for the new york leg... i've got a few ideas, but since i'm more of an outsider here (yikes), insider tips are more than welcome...
