punk rock history...

CBGBs... i grew up hearing the stories about the CBGB's punk scene in the mid-70s to 80s... you know, the ramones, television, patti smith, blondie, deadboys... i'm not saying i missed it all being on the west coast (i saw the ramones at least 5 or 6 times in high school), but CBGBs itself was out of reach ... going there now is a little late for all that, but the history is still thick in the place... i've only been there twice, once a couple years ago when i was visiting nyc, and then the other night cause my cousin's friend's band was playing... the place wasn't very crowded... but zowie, the bathrooms should win some kinda prize...
