no more nickle ante...

this month you get a peek at a regular poker game in the back room of a local vintage shop here in s.f... the stakes are a little higher than i'm used to, but chips are still only 25 cents to a dollar. the setting is perfect, behind closed doors in a back room decorated with a swank 50s bar and other vintage furniture (my favorites were the matching white vinyl couch and chair but they were sold). usually everyone is friendly, but at times there's a healthy edge between the players... (and sometimes the "professional" game gets a little sloppy)... the shots here are in black and white, but it's a pretty colorful place. it's also a nice counterpart to my favorite poker game back in park slope, brooklyn...
